   Hi,
   
   Looking a this forum the Smitfraud seems common. My system produces IE popups, so I ran Spybot which identified the problem as a Smitfraud.c, but seems unable to fix the problem. I tried Smitfix as directed in the sticky (as well as several other programs around here) but I doesn't solve the problem.
   
   So here I am, at your mercy. Please, someone, anyone, free me from the popups.
