SMS Recovery

Is there any way, (any data recovery software?) that will restore deleted text messages? No SIM card - this would be from the phone internal memory. I am in deep poop. I lost my phone and I was using my sister's. I don't know what happened, but her text are gone. My brother-in-law is in Afghanistan and I know she was saving the ones from him for that reason. Oh, my gosh! I feel terrible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I did connect it to my PC and used a couple of the data recovery downloads here, but I could not find the text - although I am really not sure where "exactly" to look. Help, help, help. I have to give it back to her in 5 days. HELP! Thanks in advance to anyone who hears my pleas!

There are utilities to recover it directly from the SIM card or transfer it from the phones internal memory but you cannot recover deleted text from the phone's internal memory.

Personally I dont think you will be very lucky as unless the service provider will help in this matter and its worth asking them if they can recover the texts (SMS messages) and the phones original user will need to ask, never have a 3rd party do this, so this means you as it was not your original phone.

But in many cases they will nto as they cannot really 100% clarify the owner so in light of phone hacking scandals they may not be as compliant as they used to be, but worth a try.

Apps such as Spyera and others are vastly expensive and don't always work, depends on the issue with the phone and what type of phone it is as many apps only really worth with smart phones that hook up to PCs.
