    Be sure and dye your hair so they won't recognize you.

    damn browser cops!! they wont take me alive!

    Are you using custom fonts? That will effect it.

    Holding the <CTRL> key down and scroll your mouse wheel...any effect?

    No custom fonts. ctrl+scroll makes everything bigger/smaller but at no point does it fix this incredible eyesore ;)

    its not a big deal man, hardly noticeable.

    I'll look at the code in the a.m.

    Could be a bug someplace in table sizing... will take a while though since I cant duplicate it here.

    Got to be something in a setting of FF then ... Default install works fine.

    Perhaps a plugin?

    I dunno... I'm running a very clean install of FF, only plug in I have is for a media player and an extended java console. Still wouldn't work here :\

    make sure the table values dont have a space in the css between the value and the property. that can cause a problem in ff i read somewhere.

  24. NeoNemesis

    NeoNemesis Moutharrhea

    Nope :confused: could it have something to do w/ this:

    <!-- logo -->
    <a name="top"></a>
    <table border="0" width="97%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">

    And the width not lining up? I didn't have time to check the whole source code
    But I bet it has something to with the padding for the tables not lining up right
    with the header image.

    could be -- Clearly "a name="top"" is invalid.

    I have the script that he used. It just uses a asterik and some javascript to simulate snow falling down. and CP was having some fun and changed it so that it displayed "CP l33t 0wn3s" or something. lol.

    Rodger that --- The strang thing is that it is not showing on all versions of FF 1.0 -- sounds like about 1/2.

    CP, got a question on the snow script (well ok, actually 2 questions). First on our site it only shows up on the first screenful. If you scroll below that the snow does not extend to that area of the page. Is there a way to fix that? Secondly, do you know of any way to modify the script to have actual accumulation at the bottom of the screen? Say accumulation to about 10 to 40 pixels in depth to simulate 1 to 2 inches of accumulation? This would be a neat addition. Thanks!

    The page -- in your sig -- I cant get too. So I dont see it, but if you put the script in the <head></head> it should work pagewide.

    Accumulation would be interesting, but it would be easier to make a snow.gif about 800px wide and use that as the bottom footer of the site... Whould have the same effect.

    ---alos -- yes I think it is a FF bug, not site bug in the latest release.

    ok the area of my site I wish to have it at is actually at http://www.ufp-squad.com/forums/

    It is an .asp forums and portal site so there is not an actual <head> tag in which to place the coding. Instead I have to add is as an <!--#INCLUDE FILE="snow.asp"--> statement within the portal_content.asp and the default.asp files. Therefore I don't get the effect on all of my pages. I am looking for a solution to this problem on GML's site (the package of Snitz I am using is a GML Portal Modification). I was wondering if it were in fact a problem with the Java Script instead of a problem with the way .asp compiles it. I guess I will have to look into it some more.
