So I get this letter today from my ISP...

Current service is 1mb/128k. They are upgrading me to 3MB/768k for 2 dollars less a month Looks like I'll have to get the flu more often lol.

Who is your ISP, and how much do u deal out a month? Im tired of my crappy SBC connection.

Hey thanks. Looks like there not in my area. SBC has me paying $26.95 for 128/128. Its not too bad but the problems keep coming from them

After looking at this thread, I went and retested mine…I have sbc, as well, and am paying for 1500 down, and I thought 128 up, for $26.00 a month…..


The test was, download 1.184 Mbps, and upload 218.05kbps

The 26 dollars per month, is the same that I paid for it last year, and got new equipment as well, and by the end of the month, I’m going to renew, again at the same price.
There are times, when downloading large files, that I get 3 or 4 Mbps speed. Got a call three days ago, to switch to Comcast cable…they said, “I would get 2Mbps for just $29.95 per month”, and the special rate would last 6 months, and they wouldn’t tell me how high it would go………….wobbles

although I don't use it, road runner around here recently upgraded their customers speeds from 3mb to 5mb for the same price every month.
