is there a folding "operating system", with only f@h on it?

how hard would this be to create? it would be based on the linux kernel (or something), but it would only be f@h. new versions of this os would be released with every new f@h build.

how much faster, theoretically, would this be than running f@h on windows/linux/macosx?

Not sure about this since most use their PCs for other purposes too... Know some have farms w/min. systems and only fold on the stripped down units but I'm not smart enough to figure it out.

 

In theory, I have heard that virtualization and multiple stuff running gives the maximum points. I am way to lazy to figure that out. I have been told that the 'Nix' OS is better sometimes for points.

I have seen where people run virtual OS's with quad core CPU's, fold on all of them, and run a GPU folder. To dang complicated for me, but others here might can get you going.

 

I wish I could help you, but I'm with Fred... too lazy to figure it out. I fold on the CPUs of my PCs and I fold with my PS3. LOL

If you get it figured out though, I'd love to know.
