So what are you guys doing for Valentines Day?

I'm getting my wife a new camera, but I'm also gonna do the "flowers sent to her work" thing. It's amazing how much that matters to them. Women love getting flowers at work. I think it'a almost like a competition...to see whos' husband/boyfriend loves them more! It's definitely a woman thing! We ususally go out to eat as well, but it can be tough getting a table anywhere around here on any given day, let alone V-day. It's on a Monday I think, so maybe we'll go out on the Friday or Saturday prior.

Just curious as to whether anyone had any cool ideas that I can steal

Flowers just seems so predictable, but hey, it works!

One Valentines I had ordered flowers to be delivered to her work and there was a delay for whatever reason. The delivery person called me and told me that my wife had left for the day and that they would deliver them to our house. I was like "no way!" I knew that my wife got out of work early and her and her girlfirends went to a restaurant for lunch. I had the delivery person go to the restaurant and deliver the flowers to my wife at their table! It went over great! The whole restaurant was sort of "gawking".

here is my exsperiance

Find a small independant flower shop, it is critical that it is ran by a woman. Talk to her in person, explain what you want to 'say' with the flowers and 'why'. Also tell her you dont want an 'ordinary' floral arrangement, also tell her how much you want to spend.
I did this with about $110 and got a phenomenal job in a unique vase. When every thing bloomed out it was about 2.5 feet across. The wife loved it, that was 2 years ago and she still talks about it

i kind of spent 1800 dollars on a get away that she does not even know about yet...i even requested the week off work and i asked her boss to leave her on the schedule so that she will not suspect anything...her sister is going to pack her bags and bring them to my house.....im so evil... but she is going to love it

Well, I'm just gonna hug it, not crawl around in the innards. As for intimate, you kinda have to get intimate with the sucker sometimes, if you want to fix stuff..........(but not on Valentines Day).

I dont even know what to do. Last Valentines
day I proposed and got engaged, I know I don't
want to do that again! Hah! Maybe I'll cook up
some nice meal or take me lady on a nice
dinner\show and maybe a nice horse carriage ride
around downtown Chicago. Hopefully my buddy is
working so I can bring the bottle of wine!

 

Oh yeah!...I'll be there! Your coffee always tases just fine!
