So I have this new digicam, and decided to take a picture of me slathering on a another layer of BBQ sauce on some yummy ribs that have been cooking since this morning. While I'm not really a blogger, my attire was appropriate. Boy, does the house smell good!

I can't be bothered cooking, so pizza it is (in 12 hours time. It's still 6.30 AM here).

The only hard part is what type, and who from, Pizza Hut, Dominos, or Pizza Haven?

Ahhh man!!! I can't wait until I get to the UK and can go out for curry again. You're making my mouth water! I can cook it here, but nobody but me likes it, so it doesn't happen often

 

Cracked black pepper chicken breast on a barmcake "Burger bun in yankee tongue " with two bacon rashers and some micro chips,mmmm,not alot but I have to leave room for beer

 

i miss indian take out too lol. there are no curry houses in hawaii. and there are no indian/asian shops on the big island, so i cant even buy the ingredients.
good job i like fish and poi.

 

From my front door I only have to walk 70 yards for Vindaloo "very hot curry" cooked by some very friendly indian guys,another 40 for english fish and chips,50 more for a chinese,cross the road for an Real Italian restaurant,120 more for japanese,I can cross the road at this point and a get vindaloo from another indian restaurant which is better than the first or 120 in the opposite direction for middle eastern food or a Pizza or I can walk or drive a mile and get a Mcdonalds up until midnight

I also have the choice of three pubs go into and get hammered within a 150 yard radius

Anyone who lives in and about the centre of the village gets the same deal its pretty tightly packed,funny thing is rather eat my own food its better and healthier,sometimes though I have to have a really hot curry theres nothing else that'll hit the spot costs about £5 or maybe a pizza,bit steep though pizza ends up around £10 bout $17,you can get custom made 14 inch from ASDA "walmart" which is just as good takes 15mins in the oven and only £2.99 so I usually go for that,thats dinner,supper and breakfast taken care of

Went grocery shopping after work, and by the time I got home and sorted, was too tired to cook. "Healthy Choice" frozen dinner.

 

I made gumbo recently and it is making miss some good cajun food in New Orleans. I am going to have to get back down there this summer and get my fill of poyboys and muffalettas. Anyone that has been to New Orleans, where is your favorite place to eat?

 

Try getting sushi in the Southwest UK. I have to take a train just to get the stuff to make it myself, and then I'm the only one who'll go near it. Trade you, curry for sushi...

Sainsburys have a deal on Alaskan Smoked Salmon - so I had a 200g helping for dinner

 

Probably not a lot tonight...ate lunch out at Shari's with my daughter Smoked salmon caeser salad.

 

Hulkster... You'd be shot boilin ribs around here. That's just not BBQ, you gotta get a smoker. I'll be doing ribs for Memorial Day. Tonight we had Sal's Pizza.

 

Geez some of you people eat well, except for the sushi bit.

Why would anyone want to eat raw fish, with rice that's rolled in someone's hand? YUK!!!!

 

Thats sals pizza it looks just like the pizza in movies I thought they were all just props didnt think you actually ate pizza that looked like that,pizza over here has way more cheese on and has a thick breadier base,just the way I like it,even pizza hut pizza does

Cheese is expensive. Most pizza places are scabby with it, even if you pay for extra cheese.

That I can almost understand, but what I don't understand is when they want to charge people extra for half and half toppings? (Half ham and pineapple, and half supreme for example)

 

Alot of pizza places dont even use mozarella cheese they use this really cheap stuff,I think its called base EDIT=Nah its called something else cant remember?think it begins with 'M' which is just processed animal fat with a few ingredients to make it look like cheese,one of the guys in 'one' of our local pizzaria's let me in on that

 

I was totally wrong its made with vegitable fat and is called 'Anologue'
