Socket 754

    I currently have a socket 754 motherboard. Im wondering what happened to the processors? ive been to new egg but i cant find any processors.. so is it that old that its been discontinued, or is it combined with another socket.

    Im not finding a lot, rather then going to a specific site, I would Google and see what you can find, there are some out there, but the prices I am seeing make me thing a newer board\chip combo would be money better spent.

    yea i want able to find anything much- it looks like it is being phased out. so ill probably go with intel and core 2duo and 775LGa?/ that way i can start small and bump up to quad later on...
