Soft Ram, Ram disk

Hi guys and gals!

New to the forum here. I've been reading around a bit and there is some Really great help on this board!!

I'm putting together a new computer. 3.8Ghz Single core P4 Pentium, 16 Ghz 800Mhz Ram, 64 bit Asus Motherboard with a ATI Diamond 2Ghz Ram Video card. Plan on running Windows XP 64 bit and am hoping it's going to be a GREAT Machine.

Couple years ago, I purchased a Soft Ram Drive. RAMDiskXP/2000 version 1.9.

It's still running on my old machine and I've really enjoyed it.

I'm wanting to know is there anything like that that I can purchase for my New machine that I can utilize like... 6Ghz of Ram with? The RAMDisk XP only would allow 1Ghz of Ram if memory serves me right.

Sorry I can't answer your question about a 64 bit version of Soft Ram.

For 32 bit XP users, AR Soft RAM Disk 1.20 is available at http://majorgeeks.com/AR_Soft_RAM_Disk_d1356.html

My note: Only 82KB in size. Not updated since 2002.

Appreciate it Mark. What a bummer....Really was a cool product. I used it for my cache file. I don't suppose it would work on a 64 bit operating system anyway.

There is a freeware RamDisk program available from My Digital Life - that seems to work with Windows 2000 through Vista 32/64. The download is quite small considering it has a GUI interface.
