    Hi,
I have a small notebook which i use for 1 programme.
When i click the open which opens up the main page i notice its just a little to big.
I mean top right red shutdown cross is off the page & there is an icon bottom of the software screen which i need to have taskbar to auto hide as otherwise i dont see it.

Screen resolution is set top 1024 x 600 i believe but other than that its 800 x 600 and software screen makes no difference.
There is no min / max icons top right of screen like you would expect so its just one size like it or lump it.

Do you know of anyway for me to change / alter something even using another programme that will allow me to make this software screen a touch smaller so i can see it all.

    Many thansk

Can you post the name of this program? And perhaps a link to the publisher?

    default display size is 1024 x 600

I'm not clear if you are saying the laptop displays everything in 800 x 600 or just one program. What operating system is running on this 8 year old laptop?

If just one program, the settings in the program override the display settings. (Some of my games do this).

You could attach an external monitor to see the entire screen for the program.

    Hi,
i was saying not matter if i select 1024x600 or 800x600 the open software screen is off the notebook screen.
    Its not all in view.
Its the one programme i use.

I would run Driver Booster on it, see if there is an updated graphics driver. Driver Booster is the one program of its kind that has worked well for me.

    @plodr - it's Win 7

I have installed all the drivers etc that were out of date using Driver Booster but its still the same.

Unfortunately some programs run in a fixed window which cannot be resized.
Your only real option is to contact the publisher and ask if there's a fix available.
I'm sending you a link to an update in our conversation.

...or what I do with my 7" netbook, attach an external monitor so I can see what is off the screen.
