Software for making games run faster

TBH while some applications can aid in making games run a "little" quicker as they disable specific services and/or add a slimmed hardware profile, their really is no easy fix other than to have say a mid range at least hardware spec to run that game.

Main ways to try to get best framerates it to have drivers, especially GFX upto date, close all un-necassary applications running in the background, if not an online game then disable AV and firewall.
