I'm running XP Pro and I would like to look at a file called software.log It's located at windows\system32\config. I tried to open it but windows says that it was in use by another program. So I tried to copy it to a different location. Same result. I then restarted my computer in safemode with command prompt and then tried to copy it. Again same result. Does anyone know how I can view this file? TIA.

    A quote from google groups:
I guess you might be able to make a copy of the file using the Recovery Console.
