Software not worky,but only on mysystem

I have a math tutoral program I purchased a couple years ago, and it seems to run fine on my a old laptop running 98 and also on a friends xp home addition.
But when I go to run it on my xp with a gige of ram & 3.02 pent. 4, It keeps coming up with the message " Direct Player 6.0 , This program requires at least
3 MB of free virtual memory to run"
Any advise would be greatly appreciated..

 

make sure you have some virtual memory (it may have to be on C drive)
(right-clink on my computer->properties->advanced, under "performance" select settings->advanced tab->under virtual memory select "change")

now you can see all your hardrives and how much virtual memory you have
set for each drive. all you have to do is highlight a drive then select
custom and type in what you want your virtual memory to be, then hit set.
then reboot.
note: its best to have your min and max set to the same size, and on a different drive than your o/s. But I have seen some older programs that want a paging file on the C drive in order to work, so you may have to experiment.

Tried changing the virual memory around to a coulpe differient setting,also matched the min & max, and then rebooted. Still comes up with the same message.

 

Have you tried running the program in compatability mode?
