software question

I am going to college for network security. At class tonight my instructor mentioned a program to access your computer anywhere. I believe he called it "access pc anywhere or access remote pc" I cant find it no where does any body know of a program or something like it? Thanks BanC

 

Yeah that program is supposedly alright. but it u have to buy a subscription or something. if you have windows xp pro you can use remote desktop sharing.

 

No we have win 2000 as a work station and Microsoft 2003 server. The class was messing around with it to day, so I wanted to read about it and maybe download it to play with it at home. Thanks BanC

There are a lot of programs to remotely control your pc...

or the free programs like VNC .. you need a small client to connect to your desktop...

Use Remote Desktop Client which works on Windows 2000.

Set up Remote Desktop on the server (right click My computer, properties, Remote tab, allow users to connect remotley to this computer, and then allow whatever users you want )
