    Hello,

I just used MG's Software and News Updater. It reported that there were 13 drivers that needed updating.

I just spent a good portion of the other day researching and trying out three other Driver Updaters and settled on Driver Fusion as being the easiest to use and returning the most comprehensive list of the three. It seems to always be a time consuming and painful chore to update my drivers in the past and Driver Fusion appeased the best of me...

After using it, I let it install the drivers it reported as needing updating and when it finished I thought my chore was done.... And now, MG Software and News Updater tells me that 13 of my 81 drivers are still in need of updating and then it has 27 of the drivers listed marked with download arrows.

Could someone help me out with my confusion? Also if I use the MG updater by clicking on the download arrows, does it go on to install the new drivers or just download them... and then I need to know if it installs over the old drivers or do I need to uninstall the old drivers first?

Thanks for your time and effort here,

    Mile

The simple fact is that if your computer is working well you don't need to update any of your drivers. Yes, these programs will find later versions but that doesn't necessarily mean that you need them, or even that your computer will still work satisfactorily after you install them. My own experience, of discovering things, particularly USB and networking devices not working after driver updates offered by these programs, has persuaded me to leave well alone. If it ain't broke .......

    Hi

I totally agree with Earthling and the fact that if your PC is working OK the do not update any drivers at all, if you need to update drivers the do this via the original makers site only.
