Some kin of trojan

    I have a virus affecting my computer. It shuts down randomly, is making both of my DVD/CD drives not being recognized, unable to download antivirus and cleaning tools. Since I am unable to download and without recognized cd drives, I am unable to install antivirus to clean it. I know I should have put one on there before, but what's done is done. Whats showing up as blocking my downloads is rackcdn.com. It appears to be a trojan I am told. What can be done to fix this? I have basic computer knowledge so any help would be appreciated.

    Can you use a different computer to download the tools and use your USB port to transfer the programs?

    Have you tried doing a system restore?

    What about safe mode with networking?
