Some neat pics from home -Image Heavy-

I'm in NY visiting my family so thought I'd share some 'wild life' pics.

First set is a baby squirrel getting acquainted with my Dad. He got real nervous when the little guy tried to crawl up his pant leg...something about eating nuts...:-D

And here we have my favorite! The first time I've ever seen a hummingbird nest outside of a museum or book! This nest is on a limb right by the front porch so we're able to watch the activity pretty close. Mama has two babies she's taking care of...as someone who's always favored hummingbirds this has been a real treat for me.

Awesome pics. The spotted fawn is darling. Love the baby squirrel and my favorite is the momma hummer. We used to have a trio of hummers who always came to our feeder on our deck in Steamboat. One got so territorial, that she(or he?) would buzz right next to you when you got too close to the feeder. They are gorgeous.

Oh, Abbey! those are just FANTASTIC! Thank you for sharing with us! All are just beautiful, but I too am partial to the hummingbird nest... I have read that they make them out of spider webs, so that they can expand when the babies grow, the nest expands..... I have looked, but never seen one myself.... Oh, so cool!
