    Hey everyone!

To those that post in the hardware forums commonly, Rikky, Asus, Prankz, etc... I have finally found out what has been causing all of my SLI problems, I think that it was Rikky that suggested overheating, and yes, that is clearly the problem. I upgraded my PSU and all that good stuff, no change in the problem: so i monitored the temps when running SLI, Idle = 75 Celcius, Loaded = 82 Celcius:eek: . Yeah, i know I could get water cooling for them, but 'eh... they've given me enough stress already.
(BTW: I'm selling a BFG7900GTX, an HP f1905 flat panel 19" monitor, and an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe)

So... on with how I'm getting my mind off of my SLI lacking computer:

    I bought 2 leopard gecko's!

... I work at a golf pro shop and some guy came in with an iguana on his shoulder, and it influenced me to go to one of the local pet shops where I bought a 20 gallon tank, 2 gecko's, about 40 crickets (food) and some decor for the tank. So, now I've got to take care of my gecko's, not my computer. :) So, for anyone that over-stresses about their computer, like myself: I would suggest these lovely little distractions to get you away from the BIOS settings, and driver updates every once in a while!

Let 'em run the house and they'll eat any bugs that manage to crawl in. Have fun with them. :)

They're pretty cute, I like reptiles. I used to have snakes many moons ago.

Do you have to keep the tank heated?

    Cool Geckos!!!!

I'm like Insomniac...I've always thought that reptiles were interesting!! I remember back in the day when me and the neighbor kid would go hang out with the salamanders that used to run in the bushes over by the school. It would pass hours!!

You guys in the States are lucky and can have heaps of different pets.

Here, exotic animals are tightly regulated, and you need a licence for things like snakes and iguanas.

That's good in a way, but for pet lovers who do the right thing, it's a hassle.

@Ian, what are you going to buy if your car breaks down, an elephant? :)

I bought enough to populate the neighborhood for practical reasons. When my brother moved in he brought his apartment roaches with him, the kind that LIKE bug spray as a food source. Took about 4 trips to the pet store and bought 6 each time (and found 3 dead later), but they eventually grooved into my house. Gobbled the roaches right up, then very politely moved outside to stand guard.

Even the girls (who have grown up and moved out since) loved them. Roaches were the creepy crawlies, gekkos were the solution.

Side note: there is a large cousin of these critters called a Skank Gekko. Don't get it, they actually bite (not that they can break the skin, but no one likes being pinched reaching into a sock drawer) and eat their smaller cousins.

Gekkos eat 5 times their weight in bugs each and every day due to an active metabolism, it's where they get their water too. They're very shy, like the dark, and don't like anything humans like.

    Good neighbors, good guests.

Geckos are a reptile, they don't have a fast metabolism.

Cold blooded animals don't need to eat anywhere near as much as warm blooded ones.

That's one of the main reasons why they are so successful.

They might eat heaps if it's available, or in captivity, or all in one go, but they certainly don't need to regularly to survive.

I admit there are exceptions to every rule, and although I've never had gecko's, I'd be very surprised if the above didn't apply.

Got you on that one guy, they can and do. They hybernate when the temperature is cool, but they are active hunters, always on the go. Texas has a near relative that is pretty similar, Anoles. They are a little green lizard that is pretty similar, only not nocternal. Both of them loose their tail if stressed, basically an offering to a hunter while they get away. They drive my dog nuts, not hard I know, but they have decided under his dog house is a good breeding ground.

This appitite is what makes them so good around the house. They solved my roach problems in short order.
