something wrong after removal!

    Hi didnt know where to post this ,
    I cleand up my sisters computer and got rid of 750 spy ware programs and 83 assorted viruses, (it is a windows 98 set up 256 meg ram)
    with your sticky's help above and windows seems clean but it has a new problem that has me confused as to how to fix, It boots up right and every thing looks good but Clicking on programs icons on desk top wont open them I have to go to (run) and browse to the program i want and run it from there. in short I think I may have broke something!:eek: any ideas??

    Insufficient information to offer any real help. If you ran the READ & RUN ME sticky, you should be attach the 5 require logs for a Windows 98 system. From that we could determine if any malware remains. However, if you removed things on your own that should not have been removed..... well that would be bad. Do you have your Windows 98 CD?
