Something wrong with McAfee...

The virusscan keeps disabling itself. I have to enable it every time i go on the computer, also it keeps telling me to verify it...?

Its starting to get annoying... But i dont have any other firewall, except for the windows one, but from what i hear its not good enough.

Get this, i tested the mcafee virusscan by downloading the test file, and it didnt alert! AVG did, though.

Right now i have mcafee (which i plan to lose), AVG, and adaware (but no ad watch).


Can someone tell me which is the best (also free) firewall to use for a laptop on a wireless network, and a good realtime scanner for spyware and adware (also free)?
