Something's hiding on my computer

Hello, and thank you for having this site!

Something is going on with my computer. It doesn't act odd, but when I go to add/remove programs, about 90% or more of the space is taken up by a big black area, where programs should be listed. And when I go to do a defrag, it says I only have 16% of my memory left, which is impossible.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans? Were you unable to download any of the tools? Did you do the on-line scans as suggested?

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:
