Sonic Activation Module

I have a Dell lap top and keep geting a program automatically open, it causes all sorts of problems, I try to connect to my ISP and all my information is wiped out by spaces just running across my user name and I get bleeping noises as I move over the page. I just get a box Sonic activation module, and I can not close it. It keeps trying to load a file but I can not find the location of this Sonic file. I have searched for it but nothing shows up. It causes many of my programs to crash and I can not clear it. Has any one had this problem or knows how I can clear it. I have run a virus scan but nothing shows up.

• Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:

• CounterSpy - only for Windows XP, 2K, & NT users
• AVG Antispyware Log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy - only for Windows XP, 2K, & NT users
• Bitdefender - from step 6
• Panda Scan - from step 6
• runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
• newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
