Sony Gigapocket replacement

I have a Sony desktop pc model number PCV-RS710G(UC) .

It is several years old and it has performed well. A while back the gigapocket software stopped working. I reinstalled the software and it will not even start up now. An Error about another application is checking the database.

I have removed and reinstalled the gigapocket software several times - no luck.

At this point I would like to get some other software, since I never really liked the gigapocket software anyway, just tolerated it.

If anyone has any sugestions I would appreciate it.
