Has anyone had any problems with Sony headphones? The plugs constantly fail.

Huzzah, someone who likes quality ;)

What model headphones do you have?

Consumer headphones IMO are, for the most part, crappy. They build them to look nice before they build for wear. Sennheiser is an exception to that, since their non-pro headphones are better built than any other non-pro headphones I know of.

Are totally, totally awesome. They've lasted me a number of years - replacement parts although expensive are available. You can even swap the padding from normal covering to velour (which is much more comfortable and doesn't get as sweaty as the usual stuff) if you really want to.

Hi Goldy, you have class too :)

I've used their HPhones for years, classy stuff, with as you say very good sound reproduction, not matter if its their cheaper ear bud phones for MP3 players or Recording studio class models,

I have a pair of HD250 IIs for Home HiFi/PC and for my phone/mp3 player some MX500s

SONY MDR V6 FTW. A studio can that has been used since the 70's and is still used today in many studios around the world. All this for less than $85 can't be beat.

Grado makes great cans. Most Sony headphones are crap though. The V6 is the exception.

I'll be darned. I've got the same set. Had mine since the early '90s. Very honest sound. Was doing some on-site live recording back then and these fit the bill nicely.
