Sony Notebook Parts - Delays and Options?

I have a Sony VGN-NW230G notebook PC. Over the past few weeks I've noticed the video cooling fan occasionally squeaking. Since it is still covered under MasterCard's extended warranty plan, I contacted the service dept. at the store where I purchased it (I would rather replace the fan before it dies and takes the video card with it ;)).

The store's service manager (although honest about it) gave me bad news: It appears Sony is having serious issues providing replacement parts (in or out of mfr. warranty) for VIAO series notebooks. He told me that - if the store could get the fan - it would likely take at least 8-10 weeks to arrive.

While it would be a mixed blessing if the PC suffered major issues due to a fan failure (MasterCard would have to cough up $699 to replace it), I would perfer not to go this route.

Does anyone know of a source for good quality aftermarket Sony notebook parts? I don't want to order junk; I want to buy from a company selling either in-stock OEM Sony parts or high quality aftermarket ones.

Any tips, ideas or parts sources would be appreciated. Thanks.
