Sony rootkit?

Does someone know where I can find info on detecting if I have this rootkit, & hopefully, how I can remove it ALL if I do?

1. The Rootkit revealer Download here will tell you if you have it.

2. Microsoft are rather pissed at Sony so have added detection and removal of the RootKit to their updated Antispyware program Download Here the latest version

I will run the scan, but the only CDs I see that I have that might affect me are ones I've already purchased for Christmas gifts (3 of them). As today's Thanksgiving, I will be returning all three tomorrow.

I'll not have family & friends suffering because of this.

Wise choice to return them, saves any grief later. Did you try any of them out? if not then you should be safe.

but the scan is also a good precaution to take and the MS Antispyware is if you havnt used it before very good and a great addition to your Antispyware arsenal.

No, I would have listened to them on the Stereo, but as they were gifts, I hadn't even opened them.
