Being refurbished i wouldnt go near it. I have also had a sony monitor before and was'nt very pleased with its performance. Right now i have a proview monitor. The're pretty cheep but they last along time and look great!

dont worry about refurbished. our desktop is refurbished, never given us any trouble. and this laptop is refurbised, probably the most used laptop in the state, and i couldent ask any more of it, one of the most reliable machines i have ever had.

 

+ $50 for shipping, with the shipping not a great deal, 90 day warrenty, if there is problem, do they pay for shipping???
I would also wounder about condition, sratches in viewable area, etc???

I have 21'' Dell Trinitron is excellent monitor, bought brand new!

 

Until this afternoon, I had a Sony Trinitron 200ES. It was just over 3 years old, it cost me $479, and next to buying the CT Graphics Blaster RivaTNT card, the worst money I spent. Within a month the rubber coatings on the mb plug screws had cracked in half and fell off. It never would tighten up to the video card, got half way and that was it. Color was never really clear even with an nVidia GeForce MX400 64MB. And today without making a sound, the monitor just went black, the light went from green to yellow, acting like the pc shut down, which it didn't. Hooked it up to my other pc and got beep codes. I'll stay with my cheapo Envision.

 

i've got a buddy that has the same model, also refurb'd. he said its the best monitor he's seen.
