And here I thought it was the dog.

    Yep, Ironman was really good.

I just saw Hancock the other day...was entertaining.

I wasn't sure what to make of Hancock. Kind of seemed like Will Smith was slumming it...

I haven't seen it but I like the idea that he's kind of making fun of himself. He's the memorial day weekend save the world go to guy, so this time around he's a super hero that doesnt actually like people and is usually drunk causing more collateral damage per good deed than the actual good deed is worth in the eyes of the public.

    I wanna see it.

I saw Wall-E. It was very dark and very sweet. Human beings have over consumed to the point that their gargbage has taken over the earth, so they go off into space on a 5 year cruise leaving being little robots to clean up the mess. But 5 years turns into 700 and the whole movie is making fun of us as a society in generally while portraying this little robot as more human than we are. It's wicked wicked cute.

I still want to see Hancock and Wall-E looks like fun. Version 2.0 wants to go and so I have my excuse to see it too :D

Iron Man, I enjoyed; Incredible Hulk was okay; Wall-E, I only saw two days ago and wasn't bad. Indy Jones 4 - okay; I did enjoy 'The Spiderwick Chronicles', I must say. Oh yeah, Kung Fu Panda - bit cheesy, but okay.

    I want to see Wall-E.

On my must see list though is Wanted. Has anyone seen that?

I saw Kung Fu Panda too. It was heart warming, I guess. But it was like one long fat joke. It wasn't as funny as I hoped it'd be. I guess jack black just can't do CLEAN comedy as well as adult.

I love Jack Black, but unless my kids drag me to see them, I don't wind up going to see the true kids movies like Kung Fu Panda.

'Wanted' anyone? I think I'm dragging the man to this this weekend.

Sort of like Meet the Spartan's is just one long gay joke? It did have some funny stuff in it tho.

The Bucket list is pretty good. I am waiting for the new X-Files to come out.

  12. Wenchie

    Wenchie I R teh brat

Me too. this has been a really good year for movies I actually want to see, the last few have been really really lame.

You know I thought the bucket list might be pretty corny but by the end I was pretty emotional. It did a really good job of connecting the audience with the characters and making you sympathize. And I was watching it on an airplane, which is a testament. But then again, maybe I'm just a softie :-D

  14. Wenchie

    Wenchie I R teh brat

Watch the Notebook. By the end of that movie was in tears and I don't get emotional about movies... ever. Well.. a little now, but I'm pregnant. My cornflakes made me cry because they're ugly...

Anyone see the Dark Knight (Batman 2). Fell in love with the first movie and could not wait until the second one. Unfortunately I am pretty busy latly and no time for movies =(

My Mom somehow convinced me to watch that movie - I'm a guy, and I cried too  Never had that kind of reaction to a movie before - I had thought for a while there that the people in "movieland" had forgotten how to make a powerful flick.

About the cornflakes: that happened to my Mom when she was pregnant with me, only it was ice cream - and it and the bowl apparently ended up outside, narrowly missing an innocent bystander :-D . I apparently brought out her violent tendencies ;)

LOL I wonder if I can get away with chucking bowls of icecream at padestrians...

    the notebook?
piece of crap. almost as good as 'the english patient' for putting one to sleep.
had to suffer through it with the better half. she cried,,,,I sighed
get a real movie to sink your teeth into, like, oh, I don't know, like PLAINS, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES, or maybe MOUSE HUNT, for the more sensitive (sic; the wench)

Well, Dark Knight blew away every movie I've seen in the past couple of years.

  22. Wenchie

    Wenchie I R teh brat

Mouse hunt the nathan lane movie? You really consider that a "real" movie? I hope your being sarcastic, because If not that's like -10 repsect points.

Is sound like your taste is more fast pace action and slap stick... I can't watch ADD movies, I need a plot that makes me think and has a meaning.

Someone mentioned Val Kilmer... Has anyone seen the Ghost and the Darkness? That movie's premise was so camp fire horror story but they really pulled it off beautifully.

Val Kilmer lost respect points with me when he starred as the voice of KITT in the latest Knight Rider pilot/movie/failure.

oh, he doesnt have very many good movies at all.

  25. Horsey

I studied that for an English class - it was great when it first came out, but watching it over again a few years later lets you get a totally different meaning out of it. If anything, I'd say it was better the second time around :)

    I liked Top Gun :-D

The man and I are going to Wanted tonight. We are going on a 'date'. lol...thank god he's easy. He doesn't even know what movies are showing. LOL

My kids want to see Dark Knight, so I'm thinking I'll maybe take them to that tomorrow.

I have Charlie Wilson's War and have not watched it yet.

Last one I saw was the Great Debaters, I really liked it, I haven't yet seen a movie with Denzel Washington I have not liked.

That's a very good movie. I hate political movies, but that one kept me interested all the way through. And Tom Hanks is pretty good as Charlie Wilson.

We could use more politicians like Charlie Wilson.

Man on Fire is a great Denzel movie.

The story of the real Charlie Wilson was on I think yesterday but I missed it.
Tom Hanks was on Oprah (I just started watching her, some interesting stuff) and said he was proud to do the movie otherwise people would have never known what this man did.

  32. Adrynalyne

No, its a story of revenge at all costs.

im goin to see the dark knight next weekend!! horay!

indy 4 was okay, but not all i expected.

kung fu panda was actually pretty good, it was a whole lot more than i expected.

the new hulk was a WHOLE LOT better than the old one, it had a bit more "transformers" type movie feel to it.

  35. Just watched Baby Mama it is a chick flick but I thought it was very funny muskie didn't even want to watch it:-D His loss:)

I saw Wanted on Saturday night. That was pretty good. Entertaining.

My oldest begged me to take her to The Dark Knight last night, so we saw that. That was also good. Lots of action. Again entertaining. Too friggen long though. They could have cut out about 45 minutes of dead space in the 3 hours. I've got to say, I thought he was being hyped, but I think Heath Ledger had the performance of a lifetime in that movie.

I had a friend who had never seen the princess bride and in his ignorance insulted it. Therefore we watched it on principal. We showed him, dammit.

i just watched this really weird show series last night called "Shadow Falls" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0823365/ only ran for 8 episodes, but it was kinda good (better than i expected).

Dark Knight rocked, and much to my surprise, Heath Ledger did quite a good job as The Joker; I was very impressed.
