    Hi,

I have a Lenovo G530. I am running SRS Audio Sandbox on it to get the WOW effects. I regularly use my headphones on the laptop to listen to music while I'm at work.

Something that bothers me is that whenever there's soft music playing, I start getting a lot of CPU noise (at least I presume it's CPU noise). As the sound is integrated, I think CPU noise is a pretty good explanation. I have used different media players, and I still get this noise.

I have noticed that the noise sort of goes away when I go directly from my sound card, and skip SRS. However, I would like to know if there are any media players/plugins for foobar2000 that can help with making the noise go away.

Not sure but I've seen similar.

Assuming you have sound level controls both in your control panel sound and your Audio Sandbox program, try reducing the control panel sound volume adjustment to the minimum you desire for enough sound when you have the Audio Sandbox volume maximized.

Or, try the opposite, but I think the first is most likely to help with this.

Or maybe not, but worth a shot.

I don't know how this works, but I reinstalled, and now all of the annoying sounds are gone. no idea.

    Thanks for the suggestion though
