Hows everyone doing? Let me get straight into it. I had to reformat my computer and reinstall XP Pro and before i reformatted my sound was working fine. After my reformat no sound would work. I would load winamp and try to run something and it says "Bad DirectSound Driver." Then i do a dxdiag and see that i have nothing under the sound tab. I also go to control panel>sounds and audio devices and everything under the sound tab is grayed out. My mobo is an Asrock K7S41GX and i havn't put in a sound card, so i've been using the integrated one before the reformat. Any help?

Would you care to give me a little more detail on how to reinstall chipset drivers? I tried reinstalling DirectX by just running the setup again, it said i already had it installed... Not sure how to remove it tho. So if you could give me a little more detail i'd appriciate it. Thanks.

HERE are all your drivers, bios, manuels, etc. just download and install.

you can use the directx uninstallers in the download section of this website. then reinstall the latest dx9.
