I'm currently having sound problems when playing audio files through WMP, iTunes, and pretty much any player. The sound is really faint even when turned all the way up. The weird thing is that when I go to a website for example Myspace, the music plays fine through my speakers.

I checked the sound control and everything is also turned all the way up. The connections are good. I dunno what else to check. Any help would be great guys. Thanks in advance!

BTW I am running an Altec Lansing surround system(just the basic one with a sub) and using XP home. My comp is a pre-built Dell 4550.

What program are you using to play itunes?
If it isn't quicktime then you could try that and see if that helps.

Just Click on my computer then on control panel then click on add or remove programs and the program you want to uninstall will be listed there, just click on the program you want to uninstall if your using xp just click on change/remove.

You might have to if you find the offending program.
