    hello,

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with a sound problem that's suddenly struck my Lenovo. I've got no idea what happened. One moment it was playing music, then I plugged in my speakers and nothing came out. Nothing came out after I removed the cableljack either. I've run software and hardware troubleshooting programs, checked the device manager (no yellow or red exclamation marks), tried updating the drivers (the computer reported they were already up to date). I haven't accidentally muted either the controls in the media player program or the main volume control in the bottom right corner. I've also carried out the instructions given to a different Major Geeks user, uninstalled the drivers then restarted to make the computer automatically reinstall. Nothing has worked.

The Lenovo is a 64-bit laptop, running Windows 7, 2.13GHz pentium chip, 4 gigs ram.
