Sound Problems

    Sound will play on games but will not play any system sounds. Checked everything and all is correct and this should be shown as sound works on games. Sys specs:

    Dell Dimension 2400
    Intel P4A 2.5 GHZ
    128MB Pc2700 DDR
    Audio Intgel 82801DB - AC'97 Audio
    Video Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics

    Speakers are USB attached

    Any ideas?

    if you have XP goto control panel and click sounds and audio devices and check every place that it say volume one maybe in mute.
