I have a Sound Blaster Audigy, unsure as to what model because it was purchased a while ago and the site seems to be of no use in detecting it even with its software installed.. Recently I've been getting some issues with my soundcard, it started as just a tremendous lost in quality of sound which prompted me to check the software installed. I did and it didn't do much so I reinstalled and this continues, whether it's teh drivers from a cd or those windows installs itself I get the same problem. At times it's not even a lost in quality but just a lot of noise everytime a sound is supposed to play. Meanwhile, while nothing is playing I get a lot of what can best be described as 'background' noise. A lot more than before.

If I try to use the option to restore the software to default it tells me it has found some errors and cannot do them all.
