   A friend of mine has had trouble with Norton antivirus since he installed SP2. Is there a known compatability problem?

   Has your friend tried to unistall and reinstall Norton to see if the problem goes away?

   Norton did have some issues with SP2 and did need to be disabled before install.... also has he checked for updates to his version of Norton as there was a fix.
   
   Plus as Shadow Dude said if after trying to update and its still not working correctly, uninstall and reinstall and update.

   If your firend has problems uninstalling Norton, as sometimes it leaves parts of itself on the system.
