Spamfighter problems

    Hi,
    I down loaded spamfighter, (from this site) I decided to uninstal it; but have had problems with a file that keeps trying to go to start up. (spfighter.exe 60 day) I have tried everything to get rid of it. I can disable it in start up but can't remove it. Did a search to find it, but was not able to locate it. Any ideas.

    Hi,
    Ref the spamfighter I had the wrong file ref it should be: "sfagent.exe update delay 60" If any one know how to remove it I would appriciate it. mix

    Note that this is not really an issue for the Malware Forum.

    If you are using MSconfig to control any startups, put MSconfig into Normal Startup mode right now. Then please run this Using MGtools and attach the MGlogs.zip file.

    Hi Chaslang,
    I followed your instructions and have attached the logfile, I don't know if the mgtools ran properly as I didn't see all the info that is discribed in the how to run mgtools; hopefully you can make some use of it. thanks for your reply. mix

    Before doing the below, you will need to disable Spybot's Teatimer or the fix may not work. See: How to disable Spybot's TeaTimer

    Now Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixSF.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
    Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
    to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

    Then reboot your PC and verify the problem is gone.
