Speaker Issue?

I am really not sure where to put this, as it might be more of an audio issue.

I have recently gotten a new computer and it came loaded with Vista. I have good speakers, so I did not get new ones, not sure if that might be it but....everytime that I play an MP3 now, whether from my hard drive or from my MP3 player while connected to the puter, at the end of every song, it stutters. Every song, only at the end.

These same MP3s worked fine on my old device, they work fine on my MP3 player, so I know it's not the MP3 files. Any thoughts?

 

did u transfer all of the songs to your new computer from the old one or did you downlaod/re-rip them from CDs? it may have just converted them badly if thats the case. maybe you could update your audio drivers as well?

 

Some were burned then ripped. Some were downloaded. They all do it. I haven't checked the audio drivers yet though.

Update: no go on the drivers - I have the latest.

 

have you tried plugging the speakers directly into the MP3 player or some completely unrelated audio device to make sure its not the speakers (though there is no reason it would be the speakers' fault)

 

Speakers are good too. I really don't know what the deal is, unless this driver is simply not compatible with Vista (not that THAT would be a shock rolleyes )

 

I'm stuck on Linux so I don't know if it will help or not but give this a look.
