Well, my speakers are not speaking...the light is on, and i'm sure its not muted.
Under 'sounds and audio devices' it says that there is no audio device detected.
The volume control thing does not appear at the sides.

I'm not that good with computers, but still know how to change RAM and graphics card.

    pl0x help =]

First we need some info about your system. I am assuming you are using XP, so you can go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information. Your sound Device should be listed under Components>Sound Device. It will help to list your driver if it shows there and also System Manufacturer and Model (in the System Summary). You can also get that info, if you have Everest installed or download it.

yes, you assumed correctly. there is nothing under the 'sound device' category.

i'll check back on these forums tomorrow, its fairly late over here.

OK, download Everest or you could also try looking here to see if your sound device shows: Start>Run>type DXDIAG, then click the Sound tab.and post that info for us when you can.

thanks, but... this is what it says:

'No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.'

    Have you done that?
    Everest download @ MG
Everest may show your sound device, so look and post if it shows.
We need at least make and manufacturer of your PC!

Sorry, can't help you without at least Manufacturer Make and Model Number. Did you put this system together or is it an off-the-shelf PC? If you put it together what is the Mobo ID? What is the Mobo chipset?
