Spec Ops the Line Demop Glitch

So I downloaded Spec Ops: The Line demo from steam for my pc. My computer passes all recommended needs to play (except for that I have XP). Every time I play it, though, I get barely 30 seconds in and it totally freezes. I've waited and came back and it's still frozen. I've reset my computer and retried multiple times and still in freezes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and it still freezes. I want to play the demo to see if I'd want the game (I've heard it's very good). I have Skyrim WITH graphical mods and I can play that just fine. Also, I've tried it on lowest graphical settings. It still freezes.
