Spector inadvertently installed?

I have had sole access to my boyfriend's laptops since they were purchased. He recently gave one to his sister and it immediately was having problems. The Geed Squad scanned the laptop and discovered that it had Win Investigator installed on it. Upon receiving those results, my boyfriend had his scanned as well. It was revealed he had Spector installed on it. I am now being blamed for installing keyloggers to monitor their computer usage. I am not responsible for this but wonder if there can be any plausible explanation for these applications being detected on these laptops. Could either of these programs have been installed inadvertently- possibly bundled with other software or some kind of back door silent installation? My boyfriend and his sister use computers so rarely I can't imagine anyone thinking they'd be interesting people to monitor. The problem remains, however; the only person with access to these computers was me and I certainly didn't willingly install such applications. Please help! I am no longer trusted and my boyfriend of 4 years has left me due to this situation. :cry
