Speed Up Your Right Click Menu

Sometimes when there are many items in your context menu, you end up with a slow menu on right clicking the desktop. This can be fixed by disabling some of your shell extensions that you do not need or want. For example, I disabled the Nvidia context menu items and sped up my right click menu by a good 20%.

First, download and install ShellExView.

Arrange the type by cliking on the type menu heading and arrange it so all of your Context Menu items are clumped together. Then search through the descriptions of each to find the one you are looking for.

If you are unsure, double click it and view the information.

Once you find the item in question, hit F7, or right click and disable it. Note: I generally don't touch the Microsoft shell extensions, so be careful, I don't know what the consequences may be.

This does not require a reboot, and it gives you a nice menu performance boost.

I've threatened to do something about this for god knows how long but I'm always in the middle of something when I get frustrated with my right click menu, and then I never think about it again until I use it again.

For those of you that are as impatient as I am...this is an extremely quick and easy fix!!
