    Hi there,

I'm running an Asus P5N32-E SLI motherboard, with a Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and a Nvidia GForce 8600 GTS graphics card.

I have just upgraded to the latest version of Speedfan on my system and quite worringly it is now claims to be identifying an internal temperature of 105C (this wasn't the case with the previous version).

I've correctly identifiziert (I hope) the temperature of my chip(s), harddrives and graphics card and they all seem to be ok.

I looked in the BIOS but that is telling me everything is fine and I tried running my machine with the casing open and the 105 went down to 104 after a few minutes (great!).

    I've included a jpeg of Speedfan's readingsfor this 105C (now 104).

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply.
I was kind of thinking / hoping the same thing.
As the jpeg shows the bus is the nForce2 bus, which seems to belong to the mainboard.
I've had an eye on this reading all day and it went up as high as 115C
    Can safely ignore it?
Has anyone else experienced similar problems / high temperatures?

Yes people have had the same problem. If it does overheat the BIOS should turn it off.
    And welcome to Major Geeks

There are lots of bugs like this in speedfan and many other temp monitoring software programs,it doesn't hurt to try a couple more programs the more the merrier heres a couple of good programs.

Sandra is up to date so offers the best chance,at that temp the CPU would be throttling you can check if it is with this program if it isn't you can be pretty sure its an anomalous reading.

    Cheers guys,

I was pretty sure it was an anomaly, but it put my mind at rest to get a second opinion.
I've been running ThrottleWatch all day now and there aren't any problems to be seen.

    Thanks for the help.
