Sports is p*ssing me off

I am not a USC or ND hater. I actually respect both this year but since watching this game have lost some respect for USC and agree that Reggie is one of the best in the country. In my opinion he is only behind Vince Young (who I said was overrated last year, but has proven with last year's Bowl win and this years wins that he has improved since last year's regular season).
Anyway, I still think that USC pulled a Patriot win. They got some calls for their team that helped them win that should have been called against them. Yeah, I said a Patriot win cause I've seen that team win some post season games that were based on bogus calls and that above all is the most important reason in my book to lose respect for a team. If it happens often enough it can be a reason to hate that team, even if you have no interest in a sport. Too bad for the Irish. They wouldn't have even been in that last minute situation if some earlier calls didn't get the Trojans in a position to get a score. Which they did score due to such a call earlier in the game. Oh well. I usually pay no mind to such things but if they gotta keep winning to favorable ref calls that are not even penalty calls then they should call themselves the New England Patriots. LOL. I don't care about there wins, just the way they win and how they get to the top. If u win legit then U deserve all the respect in the sport. Don't even get me started on Barry BOnds. At least palmero ain't stealing a sacred record that was earned with hard ass work (this is coming from a guy who doesn't care for baseball). Mark McGwire, Sosa, Giambi, and who knows who. These guys are the ones that piss me off cause they win awards and break records. They are ripping old timers off. You want steriods then you should get a record with a * like Roger Maris ( at least that guy earned his record and he got cheated for a bull c#ap reason, while steriods is a very real reason). Take the roids to be competitive but don't think u earned that record over guys that didn't take them. Hell some of those guys had obstacles like alcohol that slowed them down, not stuff that made the records come easier.LOL. S&IT!

 

I don't care what they say, who said it, who did it, how they did it or when they did it!!!!!

I myself on two occasions in my life was prescribed steroids...both times for a nasty rash that nothing else would touch. There ARE legitimate uses for them...and they didn`t ruin my life all they did was clear up my problem.

 

I'm alive because of steroids.

I, too, am alive because of prescribed steroids. As are many people, most of them with asthma.

 

Yes...there are cases where the steroids are legal, and are VERY benificial!!!

I myself, had steroids injected into my spine via an epidural in order to relieve the symptoms of a herniated disc!!!

BUT...I have never taken steroids (on my own) in order to boost my performance, just so I can knock a ball out of the park, or kick a ball farther, or simply to make myself LOOK bulkier!!!!! That is just simply wrong AND ILLEGAL!! If you aren't able to do it without steroids, then you don't need to be doing it!!!!

That doesn't answer the question. WTF does the TEAM have to do with how the OFFICIALS called the game?

 

It counts as a loss, therefore the teams fault...
Especially if you're team is NOT one of the darlings of the NFL...
The calls will not go your teams way.
If your Team is one of the darlings of the NFL, or big merch sellers like a Vick, or a McNab you'll get a better break, and the chance to get away with one, or two penalties going your teams way. Those calls can make or break the win, or the loss of the opponent.
Watch REAL close, and track those calls, you'll see what I mean.

I don`t buy the preferential treatment argument...not for a second. I`ve been an avid sports fan since I was very young. I watch everything except soccer and women`s basketball. I have had my heart broken many times, as my team(s) failed to win it all...and I can pretty much HONESTLY say that only once has it been a blatant Mr. MaGoo call on the part of the officiating, and in that ONE case I realized, if my team had performed up to expectations that one call would never had a bearing on the outcome. Never, ever have I blamed my team(s) inconsistency or failure to make the "big" play on officiating. Grow up eh? Please don`t be offended but the officiating in the major sports is fair and unbiased. If a certain team or teams seem to get the wrong end of iffy calls...I suggest it`s due to thier own ineptitude or abuse of the officials.

 

Ok then chief, you explain to me the amazing fact that the officials decided that they needed to enforce a rule that is violated by EVERY team in the league on those exact same plays week in and week out, and is NEVER called except in this instance when the Falcons Kicker missed the opportunity...

I will always be the first to admit that the Saints would not be my first choice in the consistancy column , however that call did blow the Saints chance to get the win...

As far as not being offended by your remark to grow-up eh?

I did not mean to offend you.. but in fact if we were sitting across the table from each other I`d say the very same things. I`m not a key-board taunter. I`m a man plain and simple and as this IS the United States of America I`d die defending my right to say what`s on my mind in any situation. The point I was trying to make(and yes I know the holding call on the field goal you`re talking about)is that for close to 35 years I`ve listened to people whining about the officiating and blaming the guys in gray/stripes/ etc. cause thier teams to lose. It does absolutely no good to do so and in my eyes what I said before stands. Those guys are the best in the world in what they do and a team`s inability to do what it takes to win is no excuse to blame them. Again, I meant no offense...and again...if we were nose to nose I`d say the same thing. Ask my sister AbbySue...she`ll tell you. I don`t want to be in a pissing match.
