spy bouncer... is malware

I downloaded and installed a program called spy bouncer... thinking it would stand up too its claim and remove malware, only to find out that it was malware itself My quesion is does MajorGeeks" support this shi* ? After all they post a link to your webpage under AWARDS !! p.s. anyone got name and address of the owner/creator of this crap ? Maybe getting "physical" is good way of helping people make better software ?

I guess we will have to re-look at it, though I must say I doubt it installed malware. It did have a rep for false positives, then again, every spyware remover in the world gives false positives by using cookies as a scare tactic. Ill install it today and see.

So far I dont see it. It picked up cookies as well as Cydoor and other Flashget related items. Flashget I use and is considered Adware. It also shows some P2P stuff, I had installed a P2P program and removed it last week, so this is possible. My system is coming up clean, Windows Defender and Ad-Aware are not finding anything new since this install.

The main concerns for SpyBouncer still being listed as a rogue are due to some their advertising practices. There have not many any cases of it showing false positives or it installing any malware onto a system.
