Spy Sheriff removed.. now Skype doesn't open :(

Hi all thanks in advance for any help you can give it'll be greatly appreciated as I use skype everyday for calls to friends and family overseas..

I had an encounter with Spy Sheriff and followed the instructions at http://elamb.blogharbor.com/hacked/removespysheriff.htm which basically gets you to run adaware in safe mode and subsequently gets to you to run Spybot Search and Destroy. It basically worked except for a couple of pop ups but the main problem is skype doesn't work anymore. When i open it the hourglass turns for a bit and nothing happens. i can't even find it in the system process page..

any help pls?
