After battling this pest for the last day, I found that I could remove everything but the "annoying popup". After scouring my System32 folder, I found ioctrl.dll had recently been installed. I researched the filename and found reference to a potential audio file. I removed the dll with HijackThis and the popup is gone.

Hope this helps, my fingers and toes are crossed.....

For future reference do not copy & paste logs into your posts; always include them as attachments.

    Your logs are clean.

    What popups are your getting?

I was getting the "Your computer is infected!" popup which would bring you to the SpyAxe site and start downloading their software. The only way I could stop that was to remove the dll that I originally posted.

My intention was just informational. I was able to remove the infection minus the popup with help from previous threads on this site. Thanks for your responses.....
