spybot 1.2 hanging up

I used spybot 1.1 without problem for over a year, but 1.2 won't do a complete scan. I've installed and uninstalled 4 times, always with the same result of it stopping at detection 2957 of 5385, named C2.lop. I tried downloading 1.2 using the 1.1 update option, I uninstalled that and cleaned the registry before downloading straight from the website. I'm not running any other programs at the same time. Has anyone else had this problem?
