Spybot - is this possible?

The last thing I did on my computer last evening was run Spybot. The first scan got aborted by mistake (looked like it wasn't scanning, so I started it over again). The second scan worked and said there were no problems.

Today upon switching on, I could only access email and a few websites at first. I rebooted and since then have had NO Internet or email access at all. (I'm posting from another computer.)

Could any of this have to do with aborting then rerunning Spybot?

We can't find any other cause (no virus problems, etc.), so as a last resort, I'm wondering if anyone has ever had a problem aborting then rerunning Spybot and if so, do you have a fix?

Could be a WinSock issue.

Thanks for the tip.

The computer corrected itself after I ran a virus scan (no virus found) and did a few other things. I'll keep the WinSock link in case it happens again.

I don't know. I am a little suspicious here. I also am having a problem with Spybot. I tried to run it today and it aborted a scan. I tried a few times only to have the same thing happen.

I just ran a virus scan and will now check again to see what happens. If anybody has any ideas about this please let me know.

Maybe it has to do with a recent update problem? I e-mailed the spybot e-mail address to ask if hey knew. I am still waiting for a reply.

Anybody got info?
