spybot search and destory

I'm having a problem with spybot I will run the program try to fix anything it picks up but it locks up. Any ideas why this is doing this I have never had a problem with it until today.

 

Hate to say this but usually when any Anti virus/spyware program just starts to have problems it usually turns out to be a malware problem. I would suggest uninstalling Sbybot run CCleaner then reinstall sbybot, if you still have problems then its deeper than sbybot

 

sometimes also, it could be another anti-spyware program that can be actively running (such as Spysweeper) that will lock it up, my dad was having the same problem with his Adaware SE and that was the problem.
