    Hi!
I'm a FireFox addict. I use Internet Explorer only if I have to. When the boyfriend uses the computer, he'll use IE, but he's rarely on here.

    I frequently update and run scans for;
    Spybot Search & Destroy
    AdAware
    Spyware Blaster
    Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool
    Microsoft AntiSpyware
    AVG AntiVirus
    ZoneAlarm Firewall

    Spybot Search & Destroy has been coming up with a lot of entries lately. In the past, it always comes up clear. The only difference that I can think of, is downloading;
    "StumbleUpon" FireFox Extension"
    https://addons.mozilla.org/extensio...tion=firefox&category=Popular&numpg=10&id=138
"StumbleUpon lets you "channelsurf" the best-reviewed sites on the web. It is a collaborative surfing tool for browsing, reviewing and sharing great sites with like-minded people. This helps you find interesting webpages you wouldn't think to search for."
I only use the "Stumble" tab on the toolbar, I don't participate in the rating option of it. A couple times I've used the "Send This Page To" tab.

This is what I quickly jotted down that appeared in Spybot Search & Destroy.
    Advertising.com
    Avenue. A. Inc.
    BFast
    CoreMetrics
    DoubleClick
    FastClick
    Hitbox
    MediaPlex
    "Tracking Cookies"
    "FireFox (default)"

All the other scans showed nothing. What are these and are they caused by FireFox itself, or possibly this latest download? Is my computer ok?
    Thanks!

Do you use the Immunize function of Spybot? Most of those listings look like cookies to me. Anytime I update spybot, I always check my immunization.

    Hi!
Yes, I always click on Immunize after I update. I clicked on it again right now just to make sure, and I got, "All known bad products are already blocked".
    Thanks for your suggestion though!
    ;)

    PS
Maybe if I run CCleaner that'll help clear out the computer.

Also, spybot has a host table addon function within the advanced features that blocks additional sites. Not sure if this is the same info that SPD posted, since I rarely use this..... :)

Hmmm, getting a little complicated for my computer understanding. I haven't been using the Advanced mode of Spybot Search and Destroy, I'll have to look at that. Maybe that'll help make everything make sense to me. Thanks so much

What Spybot found isn't really a cause for concern.

It's mainly just advertising and cookies that some web sites use.

You could adjust which cookies your browser accepts, but you may find some sites won't load properly.

SpywareGuard is a good addition and will offer real-time spyware protection.

    Whew~
Ok, thanks for calming me down, lol. Glad that this isn't actually a big issue, just caught me off guard when all this started showing up. Thanks again, you guys are the best!
